Amidst Coronavirus panic , here's what you're missing out on.

If you haven't been living under a rock , you'd know that the Corona Virus has taken the world by shock . Here are a few things that you might've not heard of during these crucial days :

The United States and Iran are on the verge of war:

You heard it right , after the assassination of Qasem Soleimani , there has been tension in the two countries since then. On 11th March 2020 , the birthday of the late Irani General ,  a series of rocket attacks took place at Camp Taji , which is situated at the north of Baghdad , where the combined joint force of US and Iraq is hosted. In this incident , 2 American soldiers and 1 British soldier was killed , whereas 14 other soldiers were injured.

Another plague in our hands :

A wave of locusts hit  ' The Horn Of Africa ' [ East Africa ] about 2 months ago , which caused destruction to food security and livelihood . This second wave is expected to be 20 times worse than the first wave considering the young-adult locusts who are vicious eaters. A desert locust swarm can be 460 square miles in size and pack between 40 and 80 million locusts into less than half a square mile. Each locust can eat its weight in plants each day, so a swarm of such size would eat 423 million pounds of plants every day. The unexpected rains acted as a breeding ground for the locusts . Climate change is one of the main causes for this destructive invasion .

Reports of racism against Africans causes outrage in China :

During the Corona Virus outbreak , word has spread about the Chinese being racially discriminant about Africans residing in China , leaving a large number of Africans no home to return to. This has left a hole in African-Chinese relations.

Bernie Sanders suspends Presidential Campaign 2020 :

Bernie Sanders , a potential winner of the United States 2020 Presidential Elections suspends his campaign admitting that Vice President Joe Biden would possibly win , but he will be staying on the ballot .

More updates coming soon , stay tuned :)

Interviews With Recovered Covid-19 Patients : The Gravity of the Situation.

As an Indian ,  I have only seen people following curfews and lockdowns for the first 3-4 months. Some people are yet to understand the solemnity , the seriousness of the pandemic , and some overthink it. I'm here to clear exactly that. I conducted interviews with 3 individuals of different age groups , so as to determine that the virus affects everybody ; not just people of a certain age.  Though most teenagers nowadays think that the virus may not affect them , this discussion with 17-year old Ambarish Bakshi from Aurangabad proves them otherwise.    Blogger : Hello! So ,  Ambarish , when did you start experiencing symptoms? Ambarish : Hey . Approximately , 3-4 days before testing , and I started quarantining at the MIT Boys Hostel on 21st September till the 30th.  B : What were the symptoms you were enduring? If you had to rate the intensity of your symptoms from a scale of 1-10 , what would it be? A : I had a headache , a mild fever , had cough , and ...

The Worst Humanitarian Crisis in the World .

With the ongoing pandemic , it could result in Yemen , a country in the Middle East , to be wiped out from all the maps in the world . The nation has been war-struck for 5 years , starting from March 2015 , the Yemeni Civil War is a conflict between two coteries the Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi led  Yemeni Governmen t and the Houthi armed movement with a number of allies and supporters . From not having medical aid to a child dying every 10 minutes , the condition of the Arab country worsens everyday .  What is going on in Yemen?  As mentioned above , the war that is currently going on has contributed to the collapsing of the healthcare system. The country is now struggling with poverty and diseases. More than 24 million people need humanitarian aid to survive , out of which 50% are children. Humanitarian aid is help provided to save lives , lessen agony and to strengthen and have preparedness for such crisis. The future of the country , the children are being kil...

Corona Virus and Lifestyle .

The first known case of the Novel Corona-virus was reported back in November 2019 . The epicenter of this global pandemic is in Wuhan , China . As of 2nd May 2020 , there are over 3,401,351 cases worldwide with close to 240,000 deaths. The corona virus can also remain in air in humid places which is why social distancing is important . SARS-CoV-2   Most lock-downs in the world began before the end of March. Ever since , life has been contained inside four walls and repetitive schedule. Though this gives a lot of families a chance to rekindle their bond , this has also affected financial stability. A lot of daily wage workers have lost their way of life and are robbed off their income . Even if most governments have provided financial support , this virus has definitely changed our lives forever   People having   lavish houses and luxurious cars but no one to invite them into , nowhere to drive them to . All the niceties seem so small now . At the end...
