Corona Virus and Lifestyle .

The first known case of the Novel Corona-virus was reported back in November 2019 . The epicenter of this global pandemic is in Wuhan , China . As of 2nd May 2020 , there are over 3,401,351 cases worldwide with close to 240,000 deaths. The corona virus can also remain in air in humid places which is why social distancing is important .
SARS-CoV-2

Most lock-downs in the world began before the end of March. Ever since , life has been contained inside four walls and repetitive schedule. Though this gives a lot of families a chance to rekindle their bond , this has also affected financial stability. A lot of daily wage workers have lost their way of life and are robbed off their income . Even if most governments have provided financial support , this virus has definitely changed our lives forever

People having lavish houses and luxurious cars but no one to invite them into , nowhere to drive them to . All the niceties seem so small now . At the end , your family is the one you're with , and at the end human relations and your bond comes into the picture . Maybe if this pandemic hadn't occurred , people would still be stuck with their necks down and mind in virtual reality. Every luxury seems so insignificant and distant now. Are your phones helping you feel less lonely ? No. Are your cars helping you feel less scared ? Nope. No material things are going to comfort you . Isn't this surprising ? Everything you're working for suddenly stopping. Going out , schools , universities , going to your job , meeting friends . Maybe this is a sign . There is never a guaranteed tomorrow . Seize the day . Make the best of the present . Do not spend your today worrying about a non-existent tomorrow . When all this is over , learn that language . Go to that party . Make new friends . Be more in touch with your family . Hug a little tighter . Laugh a little more . Smile a little brighter . Push your comfort zone a little higher .

This lock-down has made us used to a minimalist lifestyle , i.e live with less possessions , yet happily . maybe living without excess stuff isn't so bad. Hasn't this lock down taught us that we can live without pizza ? without our posh cars ? without expensive clothes that are just for show ? At the climax , the only comfort is given by pajamas , board games with your family , gossip sessions , home-made meals , laughing with your relatives and being in touch with your creative side. Adding a quote from the famous movie , Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara [ You won't get your life again ] :
You are alive.

Hoping everyone has adapted a new habit in this lock down . Maybe learn a new language , maybe start reading more , maybe improvise new hobbies , maybe overcome your weaknesses , maybe workout everyday , maybe learn how to cook , maybe bond better with your family . Possibilities are endless .

Though many families have the luxury of being lucky enough to afford necessities , spend time with their close ones , binge series or have movie nights with their family , make and learn new recipes , laugh with their families , many people do not even have the luxury to afford a day's meal. Lock down has stopped a lot of families' wages and has caused trouble , but it was still necessary or it would be a lifelong lock-down.

Rich Versus Poor in Lock-down

The message i'm trying to convey through this blog is that be grateful for what you have ; your parents , your cousins , your relatives , a roof over your head , financial stability , a day's meal , healthy body , or in corona language : even a hug or a handshake. Stay safe and stay at home .

Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.- Mahatma Gandhi .

Interviews With Recovered Covid-19 Patients : The Gravity of the Situation.

As an Indian ,  I have only seen people following curfews and lockdowns for the first 3-4 months. Some people are yet to understand the solemnity , the seriousness of the pandemic , and some overthink it. I'm here to clear exactly that. I conducted interviews with 3 individuals of different age groups , so as to determine that the virus affects everybody ; not just people of a certain age.  Though most teenagers nowadays think that the virus may not affect them , this discussion with 17-year old Ambarish Bakshi from Aurangabad proves them otherwise.    Blogger : Hello! So ,  Ambarish , when did you start experiencing symptoms? Ambarish : Hey . Approximately , 3-4 days before testing , and I started quarantining at the MIT Boys Hostel on 21st September till the 30th.  B : What were the symptoms you were enduring? If you had to rate the intensity of your symptoms from a scale of 1-10 , what would it be? A : I had a headache , a mild fever , had cough , and ...

The Worst Humanitarian Crisis in the World .

With the ongoing pandemic , it could result in Yemen , a country in the Middle East , to be wiped out from all the maps in the world . The nation has been war-struck for 5 years , starting from March 2015 , the Yemeni Civil War is a conflict between two coteries the Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi led  Yemeni Governmen t and the Houthi armed movement with a number of allies and supporters . From not having medical aid to a child dying every 10 minutes , the condition of the Arab country worsens everyday .  What is going on in Yemen?  As mentioned above , the war that is currently going on has contributed to the collapsing of the healthcare system. The country is now struggling with poverty and diseases. More than 24 million people need humanitarian aid to survive , out of which 50% are children. Humanitarian aid is help provided to save lives , lessen agony and to strengthen and have preparedness for such crisis. The future of the country , the children are being kil...
